Our 2007 trip to Ireland was a trip of meeting new friends, catching up with old friends and making memories to last a lifetime. I returned from Ireland with much more than I could have ever expected!

Jazenta Dream Catcher “Julie”, jokingly referred to as the “crown jewel of Ireland” was a gift from our good friend Liz Stewart of Jazenta Corgis. What a very special gift she is. Liz has been instrumental in the restructure of Whimsy Kennel and she has been only more than happy to lend a hand or “dog” as needed.

Thank you again Liz for allowing the “crown jewel” to come to Whimsy.

As a young dog Chrystal showed the looks and movement of her grand dam and a promising future as a possible conformation dog. An injury in early herding ended her conformation career before it could get started and nearly any hopes of herding as well. Chrystal nearly lost an eye due to a skull fracture that took nearly a year to get a clean bill of health from our vet.

Like her grand dam, she is a bold dog showing lots of early natural herding instinct as well as a strong desire to perform. Not only does Chrystal display these qualities but her puppies are also demonstrating performance skills as well as success in the conformation ring.

Chrystal earned her AHBA Junior Ranch Dog sheep title in one day under two judges in November 2005. She completed her PT title at her first AKC trial in April 2006. Chrystal is now our chief working dog.
