What is a heart dog you ask?  Well if you ask around here the answer you will get is this:  A heart dog takes a hold of your sole the minute they take their first breath and lives in your heart long after they take their last breath..............

This page is dedicated to my Heart Dog, Furby.  Furby is a working service dog and my best friend.  We have been fortunate here at Whimsy to have several puppies leave our kennel and continue Furby's work with others in need.

As we develop this page you will read about the special working Whimsy dogs and their extraordinary, extra special partners they help live normal lives.

Furby Head Study

You are always there at my side, you help me every day. Always voicing your opinion on whatever I have to say....But what matters most to me is when you are really needed, never do you stray.

You have changed my life in many ways, more than strangers see. How can the independence that I have be because of someone small as she?

We have a special partnership that will last throughout the years. Overcoming obstacles we face, the laughter and the tears. You give me strength, you guide my days, you make my life complete.

My Pal, My Companion, My Friend, My Loyal Service Dog, together always side-by-side, forever she and me.

My Furby, my everything! It is obvious how much I love this dog to everyone who comes in contact with us. Her love for life and those around her is contagious and it only takes a minute to get caught up in her impish charm and mischievous behavior.

Furby is a “Jill of All Trades” and a self-taught service dog. I have tried several performance venues with Furby trying to earn her the respect she deserves but to no avail. She just will not be trained for menial dog tasks. Recently, we did discover she has an aptitude for herding. Now mind you, she refuses to learn the commands like a common dog, but it appears she sure can get the job done!

At our first AKC herding trial in Idaho my Furby Ann earned her HT title for the back of her name in fine style. She scored two qualifying runs under two different judges in some of the worst weather and footing conditions we have ever been in. One of the judges commented on her score card “Very Talented Dog”. We think that is a very smart judge. Furby finished her PT title at the 2006 PWCCA Herding Nationals under judges Roy Sage and Dana MacKenzie.

For me Furby needs no title to prove her value to me, she proves it everyday by just loving me!
